Equis Pica Pollo began as a small Dominican-style fried chicken restaurant founded by entrepreneur Carlos Rijo with a vision to bring the authentic flavor and family-centered experience of the Dominican Republic to communities across the United States. The first location opened in Brooklyn, quickly gaining local popularity for its signature pica pollo, homemade sides, and welcoming atmosphere, we have now expanded to 5 states with Utica being our 18th location.
Driven by strong community support and consistent demand, the brand expanded to multiple locations across the Northeast — including Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New York — establishing itself as one of the fastest-growing Dominican restaurant chains in the region.
