JOIN US FOR A RIBBON CUTTING!  On Friday, September 17th, the anticipated Live It Downtown, located at 1707 Oriskany Boulevard W. in Utica NY, will be holding a Grand Opening celebration with a ceremonial ribbon cutting by owner Alex Carbone at 5:00PM. Live it Downtown, which is home to eight tenants including The Fitness Mill, Peter’s Cornucopia, Devine Kneads, Gentleman’s Corner Barber Shop, Brand It Screen Printing, Cooperstown Connection, BE. Life (life coach and art gallery) and 16 Stone Bar and Pub, is now fully opening their doors to the public with each tenant showcasing their store fronts during the Friday night’s celebration. The purpose of Live It Downtown was to add another layer of community to the Utica Downtown area. With The Fitness Mill taking up 32,000 of the 47,800 square feet facility, gym members can work out, buy healthy food, shop at one of the retailers and finish with a drink, all in the same building. “We all are like a little community,” owner Alex Carbone said. “So what we built is a destination for our members and the name of the building is called Live It Downtown.” Continuing with Alex’s passion for building a sense of community, the Grand Opening event is open to the public allowing families of all ages to attend the outdoor festivities. Immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the entertainment continues with a performance by illusionist Leon Etienne. Lining the perimeter of the Live It Downtown building will be several food truck vendors, two DJ’s and a grand finale of a firework show at 8:00pm.
