Black River Systems Company, a small, established research-oriented engineering firm headquartered in Utica, NY, is looking for an Entry Level Systems Engineer to help us design and analyze state-of- the-art radar and electro-optical sensor systems. The candidate should have a strong background in applied mathematics or engineering. Candidates should have an interest in signal and image processing, control systems, or digital communications. The position is established to work in a team environment to develop technical solutions for our customers in areas such as algorithm development, functional analysis, performance tradeoff studies, prototype development, and proof-of-concept demonstrations.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor of science in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or related, master’s degree is a plus
• Minimum 3.25 GPA
• Solid communication, documentation, and collaborative/teamwork skills
• Software development skills in Java, C and C++ strongly is desirable
• Matlab and other software-based simulation experience strongly desired
• Calculus I and Calculus II required
• US citizenship - must have or be eligible for a Department of Defense security clearance
