Sales Support Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Sales Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and customer service support to the sales team. This includes responding to customer inquiries, creating sales documentation, and providing product information. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have a strong attention to detail.


Job Duties

  • Maintaining and updating the Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Handling administrative duties for the sales team, including scheduling client conferences
  • Producing quotations, statements of work and other sales related documents
  • Performing data entry duties in regards to metrics, sales figures and other key data
  • Creating and processing sales in a timely manner
  • Following up on leads and opportunities via email, telephone and social media contacts
  • Project management tasks throughout the sales and delivery process
  • Working closely with the project manager to ensure a smooth project transition from sales to production
  • Providing back-up coverage for project management
  • Providing assistance to management team members and executives as needed

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional business environment
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Understanding of general cybersecurity terms and services
  • Working knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel. PowerPoint)
  • Desire to continue to learn
  • Capability and desire to work in a fast paced, rapidly growing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience with information technology / cybersecurity terminology and concepts
  • Knowledge or experience with the Salesforce CRM
  • Physical location that would allow hybrid work that includes periodic in-person meetings in Utica, N.Y.

Position Requirements

  • Must be a current U.S. Citizen
  • Must reside within the United States
  • Must be able to pass a background check
