Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Glass Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for commercial glass projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client requirements. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing your expertise in estimating, negotiation, and project management to contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality glass installations. Candidates should possess strong skills in construction estimating, contract management, and cost control, with a focus on delivering precise and timely proposals.

Duties

·                 Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive glass estimates.

• Utilize Bluebeam and HeavyBid software to prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and contract terms.
• Conduct site visits to assess project scope, site conditions, and potential challenges related to glass installation.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, pricing models, and bid documents in accordance with project requirements.
• Manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budget adherence.
• Assist in contract negotiations and review contractual documents related to glass work scopes.
• Coordinate with construction management teams to ensure estimates align with project schedules and specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of bids, contracts, and project documentation for future reference.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials pricing, and construction best practices related to glass installation.

Experience

·                 Proven experience in construction estimating, specifically within commercial glazing or glass installation projects..

• Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction site operations, safety protocols, and project management principles.
• Knowledge of contracts, negotiations, cost control strategies, and pricing methodologies within the construction industry.
• Construction site experience is a plus for assessing project scope accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.
