Nelson Associates Architectural Engineering, a well-established multidisciplinary design firm in Clinton, NY, is seeking a talented architectural designer to join the firm’s team.  NAAE offers an employee friendly work environment with a strong sense of mission and vision. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess the technical ability to work independently on projects from schematic design through the construction phase with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• This is a full-time, ons-site position.
• Will be part of a production team, which would involve creating a conceptual design package, revising the design per client feedback, and formulating a complete set of construction documents.
• Will coordinate with team members, contractors, clients, fellow team members, and building officials.
• Must have the ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple projects, and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum two year college degree in a technical field, preferably in the field of architecture.
• Minimum (2) years’ experience as architectural designer.
• Working knowledge of standard construction practices, the International Building Code, BCNYS 2020, NFPA, ADA, etc.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team member interacting with architects, owners, contractors, and coworkers.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Working knowledge of Revit, etc. is a plus.

Salary Range:  $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year commensurate with experience.  Eligibility for bonuses and profit sharing.
