Architectural Designer
Nelson Associates Architectural Engineering, a well-established multidisciplinary design firm in Clinton, NY, is seeking a talented architectural designer to join the firm’s team. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess the technical ability to work independently on projects from schematic design through the construction phase with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- This is a full-time, ons-site position.
- Will be part of a production team, which would involve creating a conceptual design package, revising the design per client feedback, and formulating a complete set of construction documents.
- Will coordinate with team members, contractors, clients, fellow team members, and building officials.
- Must have the ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple projects, and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum two year college degree in a technical field, preferably in the field of architecture.
- Minimum (2) years’ experience as architectural designer.
- Working knowledge of standard construction practices, the International Building Code, BCNYS 2020, NFPA, ADA, etc.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team member interacting with architects, owners, contractors, and coworkers.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
- Working knowledge of Revit, etc. is a plus.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year commensurate with experience. Eligibility for bonuses and profit sharing.
