Ribbon Cutting: Utica Surf SC

Utica Surf SC, a Utica-based youth soccer club providing nationally recognized player development opportunities to the Mohawk Valley, will officially celebrate the opening of its new home at Thrive Athletic Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.

Community members, players, families, coaches, elected officials, business leaders, and supporters are invited to attend the celebration at Thrive Athletic Center, marking an exciting milestone in the club's continued growth and investment in youth sports throughout Central New York. Utica Surf SC was founded with a vision to provide local athletes access to elite soccer opportunities without leaving their community. 

As a member of the nationally recognized Surf Soccer network, the club combines professional coaching, year-round development, and national player pathways with a strong commitment to our community. The excitement surrounding the club has been evident from the start, with more than 300 youth athletes participating in recent tryouts, demonstrating the growing demand for high-level soccer opportunities in the Mohawk Valley.
