Excellus BlueCross BlueShield will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, July 31 at the health insurer’s new Utica-region headquarters located at 301 Woods Park Drive, Suite 201, Clinton. The public is invited to attend this free event, which will include light refreshments from 4-6 pm. The new office replaces the building Excellus BCBS previously occupied in the LaPolla & Ford Business Park. There are approximately 500 employees in the Utica region. “Our company-wide move to a hybrid workforce reduced the need for a large physical footprint,” said Tony Vitagliano, Excellus BCBS senior vice president of provider network engagement & Utica regional president. “The new office layout is very forward-thinking with fewer cubicles and more collaborative workspaces to encourage our teams to gather and meet.” In addition to the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce, the public is invited to enjoy refreshments with Excellus BCBS staff. This new space is intended for internal day-to-day business only; Excellus BCBS customers, members, and those looking to meet with an Excellus BCBS representative in person, are asked to visit the Excellus BCBS Resource Center of the Mohawk Valley, located at 62 Kellogg Road in Washington Mills.
