The Council extends its deepest thanks to the Frederick B. Rutter Memorial\, Inc.\, whose generous and steadfast support over the years made it possible for Scouting to thrive at that address. Established in 1957 and a devoted partner of the Leatherstocking Council\, the Rutter Foundation's commitment to the mission of Scouting America has been a cornerstone of the Council's presence in this community. That legacy of generosity will not be forgotten\, and the Council looks forward to carrying the spirit of that partnership into its bright new future. The community is invited to celebrate this milestone at an official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Monday\, September 14\, 2026\, at 3:00 PM. The event will bring together Leatherstocking Council leaders\, board members\, valued community partners\, volunteers\, and local dignitaries to mark the occasion and welcome Scouting America to its new home.
