April 22, 2026 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
(EDT)
Description
Mohawk Valley Community College will host its third annual Community Convening at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Dr. Michael I. Schafer Theater, Francis A. Wilcox Hall, at the Utica Campus.
Mohawk Valley Community College’s 3rd Annual Community Convening is centered on the theme Rethinking Problem Solving in a Time of Complexity. The event will feature National Geographic photographer and storytelling expert Steve Uzzell, whose work demonstrates how reframing challenges can reveal new pathways forward. Through powerful storytelling and visual insight, Uzzell challenges audiences to see complexity not as an obstacle, but a source of possibility.
Mohawk Valley Community College provides accessible, high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students. We are the community’s college, committed to student success through partnerships, transfer and career pathways, and personal enrichment.
Sponsored by MVCC’s thINCubator and the MVCC Foundation, the event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and registration is required. The program will be followed by Business After Hours reception presented in conjunction with the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce.
