Rosa's Trattoria, a beloved family-owned Italian bakery and deli in Utica, New York, is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Monday, June 2, 2025, with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony. The milestone honors a journey that began with a dream- and a deep-rooted family legacy that stretches from Cetara, Italy to the heart of Central New York.
Founded by Rosa and her husband, Joe, in 2000, Rosa's Trattoria was born out of generational traditions and recipes. As a young girl, Rosa immigrated from Cetara with her mother and brothers, joining her father, Pasquale, who had opened a small shop on the corner of Blandina and Kossouth Streets in Utica. There, Rosa learned the family business alongside her parents-absorbing not only the craft of Italian cooking but the values of hospitality, hard work, and pride in serving others.
At Rosa's, family has always been at the heart of everything they do. From the hands that make the food to the customers they serve, that spirit lives on in their motto: "Tradition, baked into every bite."
